I have to travel 14+ hours to breed my GSD in approximently 5 weeks....Plane, Train or Automobile?? I want it to be the least stressful and not sure a 17 hour car ride would be the best... Suggestions???

I drove 17 hours to and from Maryland during the holidays with my dogs. They slept or looked out the window the whole way, aside from potty, food, and gas breaks to stretch the legs. It all depends on your dogs.

She loves to ride, just don't want to stress her out overly much right after breeding. The plan is to arrive right around ovulation breed twice (different days) then head home. Then pray :)

If your dog travels well, she would probably really enjoy the "car ride" with you, and the time you get to spend together without any other dogs/distractions. Probably be a lot less stressful on her after mating than being stuck on a plane or train.

Progesterone test to plan trip timing. Once above 2.5 ng/ml breed in two days.
