So pretty much all of his campaign promises are either DOA or on life support. The wall, which is now a fence, and which won't be anything in the end. His new immigration policy, round up only the 1 to 2 million criminal illegals instead of the whole 11 million, is basically the existing Obama policy. Bringing back jobs? Ford is still going to move the manufacture of certain vehicles to Mexico. And we haven't heard about banning Muslims, at all.

Then we have him finding out that he can't give his kids and son-in-law security clearances or even jobs. It's illegal. There is also the fact that he has his VP Pence, an establishment politician, running his transition team and another establishment republican, Reince Priebus, is his chief of staff. Wall Street is no longer scared of this outsider who was going to fight for the interests of the working man instead of the bankers because they see he is being domesticated by the establishment republicans. Now we'll see if he keeps the promise to improve Obamacare or if he will allow the republicans to just repeal it which will take a couple of years to do according to some experts. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.

What happened? A guy who is good at pretending to be confident and sure of himself found himself out of his element and out of his depth when he actually stepped foot in the White House and realized that this was really happening. He's a guppy surrounded by sharks. Of course it doesn't help that he probably didn't want the job to begin with. It will be Pence, Ryan and McConnel being the de facto president. And the guy in the shirt which read "Vote for Trump not the C*nt" is the one who is getting screwed. I don't know if I feel bad for him or not. I do feel bad for the women who might end up losing their right to an abortion.

Oh... pfffft. Don't be an alarmist. Abortions are here to stay. Even though avoiding the reasons to have one in the first place makes the most sense.
That is the real objection because people being responsible and moral is just too much for some.

"people being responsible and moral is just too much for some."

Yeah that explains why women get abortions.

Troll.

I would rather the same old corrupt repubes in the Whitehouse than a Putin puppet aka trump.

This wasn't very nice, NYC apartment dwellers vote to have Trump name removed from their buildings.

I would but a T, hope they put the letters on e-bay.

The question that makes more sense to ask is why do unwanted pregnancies even happen any more? There are more birth control options available then ever before.

If one wants to avoid having an abortion, it isn't hard to do, just inconvenient. Of course, I wouldn't be talking about rape.

Moreover, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates that more than 44 percent of these were repeat abortions, and 1 in 5 represent a third or even higher order abortion. If anything, these statistics underreport the phenomenon of repeat abortion. Statistics like these – abortion is common, not rare, and a significant number of women are resorting to it on multiple occasions – might find little favor among the public.

On the plus side, it has been so nice not to have to hear Hillary's voice anymore. I think Trump is backing off of throwing her in jail, too. Maybe her humiliation in defeat is satisfaction enough.

Bee, you're cute. You actually believed that he would/could do any of the asinine things he said? Do you think he's really going to bring back manufacturing jobs, too?

by beetree on 17 November 2016 - 14:11

Thanks Chaz! LOL

Of course I don't believe the asinine things he says! I have said that ALL ALONG here, but people will only chose to hear what they want to hear. Listening is a skill!

What I said, was the sky wouldn't fall and it wouldn't be the end of the free world as we know it. The man isn't even in office yet and the doom and gloom is rampant! The crybabies tearing off his name of his sold buildings. They just reduced the equity in their own homes. It is a typical mob reaction and not too far off from what the Taliban does to ancient artworks! Talk about dumb and angry people!

As for your particular question about "bringing back manufacturing jobs"? I don't think the old jobs will return, per se. I think he will attempt to stop the bleeding of more. Maybe, he will guide the desired result that will begin some sort of rebirth and remaking of certain manufacturing markets. If Made in America is a brand that means something of greater value vs. Made in China, or Made in Mexico, then there is a chance of improvement for the plight of the forgotton class that elected Trump.
