Hello. My male is eight months now, and I measured him at 23 inches today. I couldn't find a growth chart for height. How much do you think he'll grow before he's his adult height?
I'll take a photo later today.

My guess: He´ll end up perfectly medium sized ( 25 inches +/- half an inch )
In 4 months you will know...keep us updated!

There is no one answer to this, as dogs are individuals, and things said on the other thred about measurements in growing juveniles will apply. As a 'rule of thumb' however i would say that at 8 or 9 months old, a pup (of either sex) is ABOUT 3/4 of the way grown (in an all-over sense). If s/he seems large in comparison with other pups of similar age, s/he will likely be an oversized animal at the end of the day, but that is not a guarantee. If you can learn enough about the dogs behind the pedigree to compare to the adults, too, it may guide you somewhat as to the possible range of heights this dog will reach; but again, a lot is down to chance.
MOST purebred GSDs stay MOSTLY within the range given in the Breed Standard, or a little bit above or below those set measurements for height. Cannot recall whether the AKC states an ideal weight as well, the other Standards do not. So your pup might be anything from say 24 inches to 30 inches by the time he stops growing, it isn't a sure thing to predict ! Especially for us on PDB as we do not know the dog in the flesh, do not know his family in any depth, do not see him from day-to-day and the rate at which he is growing.
