Good law but the military will just use contractors and leased dogs to supposedly save money and skirt the law ... it's the evil in our military that was the problem in Vietnam and still is now and no law will fix that. People seem surprised that the 600 billion dollar military industrial business model that has had monopoly control since 1940 is corrupt and evil.

This is great news. I'm trying to switch AFSCs to MWD handler, but that'll likely never happen because I didn't choose it during my first enlistment, and it's easily filled whereas mine is not. I got to train where these dogs train (all MWD get trained at Lackland). I only caught a glimpse of their training once through my peripheral as I marched, though. (Head and eyes straight forward!)
Pretty amazing being there. All the wild animals knew we couldn't do anything to them after years of living on base, so none of them ran away. I got so close, literal inches, to things like lizards, wild rabbits and squirrels. It was pretty neat to me.
There were also scorpions, though, so....
And yes. While I was getting yelled at, I was admiring nature. Not much else you can do, really.
