I guess I don´t need to tell you that both dogs at least should be health tested ( HD/ED ), and have a temperament according to the breed standard = working dogs?
Everything else doesn´t help the breed, but only the breeder...
Kind regards

You can call AKC and they will walk you through it
Did you ever send your Pink papers to the SV and have the dog transfered to your name
Usually if you buy a dog that is already reg with SV send them back and recording them in your name is all AKC needs

No I never sent them to the SV and I don't know how to transfer him into my name or where to begin the process.

You can make a copy of the SV Pink Papers...then take them and have them "Notarized"...(I would make the copy then you will have to sign them in front of the "Notary"...) Have you actually signed the SV Pink Papers yet? If not...Make a copy of them without being signed...then sign the copy in front of the "Notary"...(A "Notary" guarantees your signature)... You will then send them into the SV in Germany...asking for them to put your name on the Pink Papers...and to acquire a Bescheinigung (Which is just a Letter of Ownership)...You will also need to give your Credit Card info... You can write to the SV and ask for their address and anything else you'd like to know...Sabine speaks and writes English...
