Can you guys give me some info about a couple of dogs?

Harro aus der Lechrainstadt and Urs aus der Hopfenstraße

What do you want to know?

Steve Lino told me a few things...wish I remembered more particulars of certain stories.

Your question is pretty open-ended. What, exactly, are you wanting to know? Are you considering a pup linebred on these two or? Context would help.

Wanting to know what they produced mostly. What they were like as individuals.

Looking at a litter where they'd be linebred on, but it'd be far backish. 6-7 on both

I had a dog many years agod that was line-bred 2-3 on Harro, the same ped as this dog:

My dog was open, social, had very good prey and enough aggression to become a police dog working the streets after I raised him and placed him with a K9 handler. Structurally he was medium-size, compact, square-ish and very agile. According to the K9 handler, and my basic tracking training, he had a good nose and hunt drive. He was easy to train and handle, and not dog aggressive. I enjoyed raising him and doing the foundation training, and from what I heard he was a good K9 but his handler left the country with him after not that long on the street.

Urs brought exceptional nerves. I like to see Urs in a pedigree. I had an Urs granddaughter. Nothing bothered her. Took her everywhere with me. Very social open friendly bitch, though you weren't getting in HER truck. Like many of the best dogs (Harro another), you do have to watch hips (though not as much of a problem so far back in a pedigree). Urs was used by the old Fidelco guiding eyes program because of his unflappable nerves.

You guys don't know how happy I am to hear this info.

I will share the entirety of the linebreeding when I have a chance

I've known Harro personally. He belonged to a close family friend.
Will send you a message with first hand information. Also can tell you a few things about Urs :)

Liked Mark for both structure and temperament. I absolutely loved the temperament Jeck could contribute, but you had to be mindful of hips. I also liked Fedor and Natz....actually if I saw a litter with these four SL dogs in say 2,3,4 positions, I would consider a dog from that breeding for good working and structure.

I wish they were all closer up! But this isn't so bad :)

Thank you for the contributions to the thread. All of this is great info!
