Hey everyone, just a update on how Chase is doing he is 15.5 months now lasted weighed in at 117lbs and last measure at 30in. And I now also have his baby sister Daisy who is currently 4.5 months and last weighed in at 34lbs. Below is a video of Chase and Daisy playing tug of war last month.

Susie, thanks and I have new weight updates last week I weighed them at my vet Chase is now 118lbs Daisy is now 38lbs both are all muscle. Daisy also seems very muscular for a female. Here is a video I took of them yesterday.

In case you are telking about 117 lb = 53,07 kg I still can´t believe it...

Are you measuring from the flat ground to the top of the withers/shoulders

Not the same thing but close enough for this and get 30"

Height was what I thought about first, maybe they were starting ABOVE wither-height, as WR suggests ; agree with Susie about the weight ! The video does not make them look as out-sized as they would have to be for Chase to attain over 50k, he does not look as big as the biggest dog I had through the kennel who was accurately weighed (for sending to NZ) as 44k ; something is being miscalculated, surely ? Even SOLID muscle (only !) would not be that heavy. And he clearly isn't hugely fat. Are they being weighed at the Vets wearing particularly heavy chain collars & leads ???

I know what my dog weighs and I know how to measure my dog Chase IS 30in and 118lbs but I guess I can't just share how my dogs are doing without people saying I'm lying about how be my dog is this is the last time you will see Chase and Daisy so enjoy the last videos you will ever see!

Having an upset fit because people on a pedigree site aren't supporting your same enthusiasm for out of standard dogs that don't look like they are out of standard, because the videos have nothing to measure and prove against your measurement claims of size and weight, is not a good tactic.

If you are posting because of pride of ownership, and not to prove some point that out of standard on a pedigree site should be accepted because your dogs look happy and healthy, then you wouldn't be making a point about flouncing out of here.

Everyone thinks the dogs appear healthy, they appear happy, and of course loved by you.

Why do they need to be giants, too? If they are, okay, but they will not be shown or bred by responsible breeders who adhere to the GSD standard.

Exactly what Bee said ! ^^^
I was considering asking you to get yourself filmed in with them (and tell us how tall YOU are);
but can't be bothered now.

@HM. I think the OP should be allowed a bit of "newbie" slack, and hopefully has gained a new insight about the thinking of pedigree enthusiasts and how keeping to the standard is important to their whole perspective.

I was sent a picture of Chase against the backdrop of what I think is a standard height counter, which I am told is 30" in height. Chase at the withers came slightly under that height, and I was told it was not a recent picture. I saw something on the counter that looked like a santa claus image on a plastic bag wrapper, so it wouldn't be outrageous to think it was taken this past December.

In any case, Chase once again has an adorable, happy expression on his face, appears to be quite attuned to his owner and overall I think is a very nicely pigmented, attractive dog. There is no proper stack to make any sort of critique as to his angulations against the standard, and I certainly would never think I could be so qualified as Ibrahim to take a stab at a proper critique using a judge's eye.

I suggested Chase's pedigree be posted here, if there was continued interest in getting feedback from our board expert's as to where the large size of Chase puppy might be coming from.

In any case, I hope Chasepuppy poster will find that posters here are not trying to be mean against her, or her adorable puppies in any particular or personal way, they just have standards that won't easily be disregarded as the pedigree enthusiasts, I know them to be.
