Saw your reply and thought I'd ask if you would sell one of the females?

Located a Ballack litter in Germany if anyone is interested. Unique because the mother's parents were both top 3 VA rated in Germany. This would be a puppy with the genetics to start a breeding program with.

If anyone that lives in the US, on the East Coast or the Chicago area wants to start with an excellent prospect and become involved with German Shepherds. This may be a really good opportunity.

I had a gentleman call me from Missouri asking if I have heard of ear problems in his bloodline's. I may have read or heard of problems but nothing specific. Don't get the idea I'm bad mouthing Ballack because I'm not. My background in shepherds goes back to when I was 20 years old and I've been involved ever sense.

Please post that information in classifieds

Something not widely known in the USA and many other places is that way back in the bloodline is five plus males who transmitted epilepsy to their offspring. Due to the discussion on epilepsy always meeting a wall of silence their will be always be a lack of information. The epilepsy lines come through Ballack's sire line. The problem is, as always, that nobody will admit it's prescience.

Thank you Mackenzie for the information I wish more would speak out.

Is it possible for you to tell us the names of those males, they are so far back that they surely are no longer around.

It would help though to follow the lines that MIGHT cause a problem then others may not line breed on them.

I said that these dogs are way back in the bloodline but we do not know how far epilepsy has bred on because of the secrecy surrounding this subject.

The dogs are Cent zu den funf giebeln, Ludwig of Charavigne, Ramacon Philanderer, Quadrille of Eveley, Vondaun Quebec, Syrious Norge, Ramacon Swashbuckler (BIS Crufts, the repeat mating produced two champions Ramacon Vibart and Virginia both epileptic), Rossfort Premonition I think that there are one or two more but I cannot immediately recall the names. These dogs will appear several times as they all were widely used.

Ballack's sire Hagadahls Figo died at five year of age, I do not know the cause but it is unusual for a VA male to die so young.

Ballack is also oversized, something that the SV President wants to eliminate.
