Danny Spreitler, former president of the GSDCA-WDA, was found dead in his store in Amory, MS, yesterday.

Yes sad day I had only met him a few times he seemed such a nice person

Very sad. My thoughts and prayers are with all his family and friends. Met online through the old GSD World (Green Board) and then later on Facebook. Always was a super nice guy.

Never got to meet him IRL, like mnm, met him on the old 'Green Board', too, and found him to be intelligent, kind and funny...and he inspired much optimism about the things the GSDCA-WDA could accomplish for the breed while he was leading that organization. I was stunned and sorrowed to read that he'd passed away so unexpectedly, and my heart goes out to all who knew and loved him--I can't imagine how hard this must be for them.
