Hi all this is my first time to post, am pleased to have found this site.
My problem has been dealing with breeders and not knowing who is lying. I've already been done and finding the next wants more money.
What I need is the good ones and the ones to stay away from. And if possible, the ones considered have the best dogs here.

Ashah,
Horse farms have an old say "You take the best, breed to the best and hope for the best". No breeder can guarantee that the dog they are selling you is going to be a "top dog". And no pedigree can produce a perfect dog (perfect meaning, hips, temperament, drives and structure). That does not mean you throw the pedigree or take the breeder out of the equation, both are very important. The best thing you can do is educate yourself as much as possible before looking into litters or breeders. When I look at a breeder I am all ways impressed when I see three or four dogs in the first three generation that have their own kennel name behind them. That tells me that they are trying to build a "solid bloodline" not just jumping around to what dog seems to be hot at the time and they dont mind breeding to what they produce. Heres a great example http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/pedigree/435849.html now I dont know anything about the Ritterland kennel but I am intrigued by this pedigree and you dont find this that often in working line pedigree. But thats just my two cents.

Thank you prodogz,
I have dealt with a few breeder here already and am finding the ones with the better dogs can play you around and have been riped off with paperwork and that is why I am asking. They say they have breed 2 good dogs but there is no proof if the parents haven't been DNA. I get sick of being told next month and then next month then questions don't get answered that you ask. I find this frustrating. When I'm lookin at spending $3000 for one pup, that kind of money can buy me a trained dog already. We have very good dogs here in Oz, it's the breeders that play the power game, I think.

Where, pray tell, is Oz?
...and please don't tell me its down the Yellow Brick Road a piece!

My guess is Oz is Australia.

Yes Oz is Australia. And I don't believe a puppy is worth that much money, but it may be as good as they say. That's why if people can tell me proven breeders that are worth it this kennel may be there. Last one I paid $2000 for. Most people here have imported their dogs so it makes it hard to have long breeding lines from their kennels. In the show lines I can find this but not the working lines.
