As a heads up to anyone feeding any of the Nutro brands INCLUDING the dry versions, I am reading on other dog boards that dogs are now getting sick from eating that too. Vomiting yellow bile, depression, and bloody urine seem to be the main complaints.

Is this on nutro's site? Do you have any links you can share? or email me? Thanks, Angela

I found this on menufoods website regarding dry food: Menu Foods only manufactures wet pet food in cans and foil pouches. Dry pet food is not part of the Menu Foods recall. So I take it they only make wet pet food. So if dogs are getting sick off of dry nutro, then that would be going back to Diamond, since on the last recall from Diamond, their plant was making the dry for nutro and many other companies. This is why I'm starting to feed my dogs on my own. I talked to my vet and he said it's ok to cook for them. You just can't trust people who lose their tempers at the boss/company, or whatever happened.... I feel so bad for those who have lost their animals to this. :(

Angela, the information I have was posted on one of the Yahoo canine epilepsy boards today. It was reported there that a Sheltie, a GSD, 3 Aussies, and a corgi have been sick, all with the same symptoms I've already mentioned, all eating one of the Nutro dry food. The only contact information I have is for someone at the FDA who has allegedly said that they have already started to launch an investigation on the dry products although they are made by 2 different companies. His name is Bill Boiven (sp?) 781-596-7783. This is all I know and the only contact person I've heard of. Let's hope it's a false alarm. If I hear anything more, I'll post it here. For now it might be wise to err on the side of caution and withhold any of the Nutro dry food.

You can also check all the brand names on http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,260784,00.html that will give a complete list of dog and cat food. If that link doesn't work then just go on foxnews.com and type in dog food at the top and click search. Hope this helps.

I think it's both, I just went down the list to see if Canidae was on there because that's what I feed mine and it's not. I will look at it again.
