'After the chalk markings started to appear, student organizations offered counselling to anyone who may have been impacted by what they had seen.'
What are these pitiful people going to do if they are confronted with what those in Brussels saw a couple days ago. They cant even say 'trump', they call it 'markings'. It's no wonder this country is heading towards a nationalist prez.

I wonder if you were black or Latino you would feel the same way? There is way more to this story than you think. Way more. And I don't think these people, myself or you would like to witness a terrorists sick destruction. I have been the first person to a girl hit by a train and another death in a serious accident and I can honestly say I was shocked both times. The train was gruesome and to a young girl riding a bike, I was shaken for weeks. So, please don't equate some racist deed done to minorities in a southern state, when the south supports one of the most openly racist, misogynist, bigoted presidential candidate in history and then in some strange way relate that to our doom.
It wasn’t just the words themselves but where they were written that bothered some students, said Alexius Marcano, president of Young Democrats of Emory — for example, on steps leading into the building that houses the gathering places for Latino and black students. “A lot of people felt targeted by that …
“It’s the latest in a series of events that made students feel unwelcome. What Emory is, and what it represents — this is a pretty elite, southern institution… it can be very easy for students to feel not welcome.”

the students should rise above it, since Trump has a bunch
of nuts following him, not an organised militia (yet). Whoever
wrote it seems to have done it unseen, indicates they are
pretty cowardly.

There is also a possibility that since the writings were done unseen, they could have been done by the protesters, themselves.
There is precedence to this, a similarity that was done to provoke perception in my local news.
@GSD Did you make a Freudian slip in the use of "president"? You might want to fix that to "candidate" for president.

Trump trump trump trump!!
Anybody scared yet? My god, this country is full of cry babies.
You dont know my race, and i do have ancestry traced back to the groups you mentioned...doesnt matter a person's race here, there is no damage if a person is not feeble minded.
If those adult students are so traumatised they need counselling, then perhaps they should stay home with the shades drawn and sucking their thumbs with mommy spoon feeding them.

The 'doom' refers to weaklings who need counselling because a presidential candidate's 'name' (not a 'mark') was written with chalk ... My comment has nothing to do with your comment concerning some who view the candidacy as a race issue.

Or they could just be found hung in a tree or shot? You can't possibly know their fear because you don't walk in their shoes. Bee, that did cross my mind and until more is known I will stick with what I said. And as far as calling him president, it was late and I was tired, I think we should make it easy and call him a douche.

@GSD Strangely enough, I found the more familiar, above response from you, comforting. LOL
