Hi,
I am interested in learning what kind of drives these dogs passed on?
Thanks

Hi,
I believe very strong, they are some of the lines I have looked at and dream of owning one day, because of their drive and loyalty. I would be interested in seeing what comes back too. :)

STRONG AGGRESSION.
Also: ugly.
Not my favorite lines.

Great, full, calm, hard, "alligator" grips. Good civil aggression - yet usually no handler aggression. Good drives, stable nerves. Strong dogs. Not always easy to look at.

Hmm I actually prefer their look to others. They look like real dogs. They deffinatly work like real dogs.

I owned a tremendous Crok son for a couple of years. He had incredible drives and power, and much aggression. Mink lines tend to produce good hips, hard bites, and are not show dogs. They also can be handler and dog aggressive. But like any, what's produced depends upon the breeding. I like them, but I am a hard line working dog person.

Hello,
I just bought a puppy in January. He is line bred 4,5,4 Mink and 1 Crok. He has more prey, hunt and ball drive then I could of asked for. He is still young but has a good hold on his toys - full mouth grips. As far as looks He has a very nice head piece. Body well, still young time will time but I did not buy him for show I bought him for working and sport.
You can see him and his pedigree on the data base Eklutna Lytle vom Klatoklin (his picture is on him "truely working")

4pack,your liking high performance working line GSDs that are unattractive like these lines typically produce is a real benefit for you. An unattractive GSD that is far from the FCI standard is a whole lot cheaper than one with beautiful confirmation and conformance to the FCI standard. Acquiring a GSD with KKl with correct & normal temperament, clean joints, great type, great coat and pigment and great proportions along with good coming and going and balanced effortless sidegait is very expensive in the GSD zuchtschau breeding business, since these dogs are statistically rare and highly valued in the world market. You are very fortunate to have the tastes you do in GSD looks since it gives you acceptability and ready access to the majority of GSDs bred and sold at rock bottom of the market prices, especially the culls the breeder wants to unload.

I am new to GSD's but from what I understand, they are supposed to be a working breed. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Real working people will ALWAYS pick ability over looks. I wonder if any showline dogs have placed in the top 25 in the FCI or WUSV worlds in the past 15 years?
As far as these lines go the female I have comming has Mink in her and if I was going to breed right now, the dog I would breed to has Mink.

I have Jago in two of my dogs, only one line to him so I don't know if that is what is being asked. Neither of my dogs is ugly, both are working line animals who will actually go and bite the bad guy, with or without me, have steady nerve and deep, rich color. One is OFA mild and one is "a" normal. We won't be at the Seiger show, unless it is to guard the V rated dogs.
