4pack

by 4pack on 20 March 2007 - 19:03

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pdwRV7wqSKU I've been called crazy but someday I'm going to teach a goat to run blinds and lay out the decoy, just because I can! LOL

Yahoo 4pack! Then we could have a goat data base dont invite some of the trouble makers they will bash your goat! LOL Marlene

LOL Marlene !! 4pack when you need the goat to train let me know, I know my mom would donate one her finer Nubian's for the project, They are very "trainable" but kind of sensitive breed. I would love to see that though !!!!!!!!!!

Yes, no nasty backstabbing goat breeders pleeease! I prefer pygmies, small compact little grey/sable working goats. I will only use goats of the best conformation and have them Koered of course. The A frame will be no biggie right?!

and the most important thing you need to do 4pack is to get their hips/elbows x-rayed to make sure they don't have HD/ED :)

If you think GSD's are hard to keep contained, just wait til you get a herd of goats. Boy, are they smart at getting out of an enclosed area. I think you might have trouble training them to bite the sleeve too LOL. One vet I worked for bred pygmies; they have got to be the dearset little things I've ever seen.

My money is on you 4pack glad to see a nice funny post for a change ...maybe you could title it to Sch4 I had a call yesterday for a Sch4...make sure you keep some tin cans in your pocket for treats! Marlene

Blitzen, HA !! Goats absolutely bite if you tick em off, they bite, so do cattle. don't let anyone tell ya they don't. I never thought so till a calf I was treating at the feedlot (Iused to be the doctor on a feedlot) reached out and bit my arm but hard, made it bleed, they only have bottom teeth(in the front) "Thank GOD" so they might have a hard time keeping the grip but they can bite. :-) 4pack definately a cool post, YOU GO GIRL !!

Don't go with nubians, go with the famous tennessee fainting goat! Watch them run the blinds then faint when they enter the hot blind to find a helper! I would give a LOT to see a GSD enter a herd of fainting goats to herd them! Blitzen, growing up, I had a friend who lived on a farm, instead of a farm dog or the typical gaggle of geese for warning and protection, they had a goat. When you heard that goat's bell jingle, ya jumped back in your car and prayed they heard you scream inside the farm house. That goat sure did bite! I would say he was civil, up until the day of his demise.
