what is the difference?
also why would a v rated dog have a better zw than a sg dog?
also what is meant (on workingdog.eu) by ic and alc for a breeding?

Both are tools to be worked together. There are more as in conformation ratings, titles, personalities and traits. None are connected but are individual tools a breeder uses to assist in their breeding decisions.

the zw has nothing to do with the show rating nor the working ability, it is just an indicator of the supposed probability for producing hip dysplasia, the lower the zw the less likelihood that the breeding will produce hip dysplasia in theory

Inbreeding coefficient is the probability of inheriting two copies of the same allele from an ancestor that occurs on both sides of the pedigree.

Ancestor loss coefficient is the number of ancestors present in a certain number of generations relative to the number if none appeared more than once.

kkl is the breed survey

zw as mentioned above is the genetic breeding value for HD

I know this is an older thread but I came upon it and by answering the questions I figured it may help someone, someday...

If you want to learn more about genetics this site is very useful and offers free courses http://www.instituteofcaninebiology.org/free-courses.html
