Hello! Anybody here have tried using these products? What do you think of these products?

I have been using Syn-Flex for about 3 months on my female with a DJD elbow. I wish I could say she has quit limping but I can't. I keep using it because I am wondering if she would be even worse without it now. I am thinking about trying acupuncture, also maybe trying a liquid that has MSM in it. I just don't want to use those pain meds like rimidyll or deramax. You hear to much bad results with them.

I have been using HA on my 9 year old that has a bad knee, and I have been seeing a lot of improvement in her. She is more flexable, and it's easier for her to get up. She has been acting like a big puppy at 9 years old.

Any of these products take time to produce a noticeable affect. To achieve faster results you could do Adequan injections and maintain with the daily oral tablets. Best Wishes, Jonah

What are Adequan tablets? I am currently doing a series of injections for a Bulldog but have never heard there were Adequan tablets.

There are no Adequan tabs. You would use any of the many tablets available. Cosequin is a popular one as well as those mentioned and many others. Best Wishes, Jonah

Trailrider, I did speak once with my vet about Rimadyl and the alleged side effects on the liver. He said that he had prescribed it for over 700 dogs, and that only one dog had to be taken off the drug.
He did say that monitoring of liver enzymes was imperative, but that he thought the negative publicity that came out a few years back was way overblown and the drug was essentially very safe.

I can say that I've been using the HA on my 9 year old for only a month. Her knee is really bad, and I've seen really good results by this and plan on keeping her on it. IMO I would not trust anything that has possible side effects to your dog.JMO

Kelly,
I agree. While detrimental results may not manifest immediately, there may well be long term damage that will contribute to the deterioration and shortening of the dogs life. We are quite fortunate to have good biological supplements to aid in management of these problems. Best Wishes, Jonah

Thanks Jonah, I think I am going to try the Cetyl M after the series of Adequan injections is done. Anyone have experience with this?
