I use dental treats called beef ribs which are also good food .. $2.24 per pound.  When the pet food industry sells you an option to a $800-$1000 tooth cleaning at your vet you can be sure there is an easier and more cost effective solution than both.  Dental chews and expensive tooth cleanings are both harmful and more costly than just feeding raw meaty bones.

That's a useful little article for all sorts of reasons, Bubba;
TY for sharing. Raises one question though: the thing
where "Greenies" have been withdrawn from sale by any
store except vets and dedicated petshops, because of the
carcinogenic suspicions ? That seems to have happened
over here too, but it is definitely no guarantee on how they
are sold; no one tries to check what other health treatments
your dog is on, or stops you buying too many at once, or
anything like that, as far as I've seen ...

Some common sense would help a lot of people and dogs...

Humans are eating chemically produced vitamines intead of fruits and vegetables, so why shouldn´t dogs eat chemically produced bones instead of fresh bones?

Irony off

Remember those sci-fi things that used to tell us
that in the Future we would all be eating little pills
instead of meat n 2 veg meals ???
