Janmc, I would think this is normal as he is large as you say, and very young. Imagine trying to learn to walk so soon! I have seen puppies who appeared to be more clumsy than their clumsy littermates, and all were fine in a short time. I would give this some time and see how he develops and would not be concerned unless he is this way in a couple more weeks. At this point in their lives a few days is nearly an eternity, and so many things can change in a week or less. Bob-O

I have had this in the occassional pup, usually only one in the litter. My vet told me to give them Brewers Yeast to boost the Bcomplex vitamins. Good result within a few days. You can use either powder and dissolve it in water and syringe the pup by mouth 3-4 times a day, or else crush the tablet and dissolve etc. Good Luck.dawn

I had 2 puppies from a litter like acted like that. It turned out they were hypoglycemic, had low blood sugar. I weaned them and allowed them free access to food and it self-corrected in a week or 2 and both pups lived a long, healthy life. As puppies they just needed more frequent meals to keep their glucose level in the normal range than did their littermates. When this puppy does that you might want to feed him a small amount of glucose like karo syrup mixed with some warm goats milk or puppy formula or even water. If he's hypoglycemic you will see an immediate response.
