I made a little movie clip the other day. I wanted to check out the fancy features on my flatscreen TV, and managed to play it back on the big screen, signed into my YouTube account.
Beau was watching it while lying on the ottoman, his spot, really, and started a vigorous happy tail wagging! He was watching Mojo up there on the big screen! Made him happy, I swear it!
So, it got me wondering, who else here just knows their dog is watching TV, and reacts with familiarity?

any sort of attention to the telly whatsoever (apart from
the occasional ear-raise when a door slams or a
gun goes off on TV). I'm aware some do. Still waiting
for it to happen chez Hundmutter.

One of my Border Collies is besotted with the television, especially the adverts. He knows most adverts that come on and the ones he doesn't like, he howls loudly at. There's certain theme tunes to programmes he doesn't like either.
When he does howl, my German Shepherd joins in too. The noise is deafening then.

to certain themes, but he wasn't watching the set as
he did so. The howling itself was a first, with my lot.
