Something other than lounging on the bed - Page 1

A few weeks ago we were hit by a massive snowstorm Jonas today again we had a morning blast of snow. So here  we are out in the field and she is  chasing and retrieving her favorite fluorescent gree 12 inch baseball. She will bring it back for as many times as you can throw it ( and as far as you can ).

So yes ..she can stand, walk, run.... and we had a lot of fun.

I have been able to get her to a lot of things because she badly wants the ball thrown; so she has to work to get a " chase"

So can you get her to Stand still, sideways on, for the
promise of her ball to chase ?

If not, Mithuna, my view on your probable training skills
remains where it stood last ...

For Example : I don't know how clearly you can see my PDB
icon ^ - but Taz was in a Stand for that photo, and he already
HAD his ball.

THAT'S more like it, Mithuna. And yes, I do think she's a good looking bitch. Now get her to give us a side view from ground level, free-stacked or at least standing at ease, so we can really see how she's developed. Hint: being able to get that stand from her does enter into the controlled bitework program my friend's Malinois was trained with to eliminate her inappropriate displays of aggression in non-threat situations. I haven't forgotten.

Question: when you have her out and about, or have people in, do you have her on a collar and leash, or just the harness and leash?

Harness and leash is for the forest when I want her to explore to her heart's content. Otherwise she uses a prong collar on public walks; the prong is a must otherwise she will walk you ( not the other way around). As a precaution the prong collar is attached to a flat collar via a flat nylon connector. At night we also use a field beacon collar with 6 flashing red and blue lights.
