Update on Becky - Page 1

So just wanted to tell you all that Becky is getting a lot better! Don't have the photos, but the vet couldn't be happier. She does not have new irritation spots anywhere in her skin, is gaining weight again and even acts happier!

We are doing zero medication, just put her back on the kibble that works for her (NutraGold Holistic formulas, Salmon) and are giving her some vitamins (can't find the flyer in english, sorry) and the rest of the allergies sorted then selves out as she was getting better... She still scratches a little bit more than a normal dog but she is sooo much better that we can't even compare...

The skin is full with grey/black spots, but the vet explained that it is where the skin was "damaged" and that probably it will disappear with time, not for sure but probably will.

We where able to discover what made the reaction in the other kibbles we tried to gave her:

- in one (the Nutra Gold Grain-free white fish) they say that there is 2 fish proteins, white fish and then it just says fish, the vet said that there are some fish, especially blue fish, that can make allergies on dogs, and mixed in the middle of the composition chart there was (in a fancy word) what basically is animal sub-products, so technically it does have meat.

- the other (Exclusive Gosbi Salmon), there was a type of "yeast" that the vet said that for a healthy non-allergic dog it is an amazing ingredient, because it helps to activate the dog's immune system, but in an allergic dog where the problem is a over reacting immune system it makes the allergies much worse...
