Why can't I find any info on my gsd parents? I see his grandparents on here but not his parents.

What is your dog's name and the name of his parents? If you can't find them here, try google. You could also enter in his parents' names and registration numbers and see if somebody else can find more information online.

Primacio, PDB is a user generated database. Users enter the pedigrees of their dogs, and the pedigrees get connected to existing entries.
If your GSD's parents aren't in the database yet, then enter them. I saw that you entered the name of your dog already.

How it works? You see a green + sign behind the "No information about the sire/dam". Click on it. Then type in the name. Make sure spelling is correct. Then click on the green arrow. That takes you to the registration page for the pedigree. Please enter "AKC" for country if the dog is AKC registered.

Once you have entered the sire/dam, in your dog's ped the next generation's entry boxes, the grandparents', will show the green + sign. Enter the name, give the database a moment to search. It starts searching the moment you start entering. You can also enter your dog's grandparents from his sire/dam's pedigree, once you have entered it.
The database will bring up the name or names of dogs. If there is more than one entry of the same name, send me a pm so I can fix it.

If you encounter any problems, feel free to send me a pm.

Welcome to PDB!
