Not a new topic but perhaps in need of an update. Chaser is a Border Collie that has advanced language skills that exceed other mammals. The trainer and owner of Chaser lives in Spartanburg SC and is a retired psychology professor and researcher. He has documented Chaser's abilities and published results and scientific papers. Dr. Pilley and his wife Sally do not consider Chaser to be exceptional .. they think most dogs could equal or even exceed Chaser's level of language skills .. they have had some mixed breed and GSD dogs that they believe were just as smart as Chaser.
