hi i would like to post an interesting opinion poll here !!! Would like to know which bloodlines would produce the following Bone and size ? Coat ? Toplines? Structure and Type? Also is it only the seigers which one looks at ? I am a believer a female is more important to transfer the traits so would appreciate if people put up nice producing female lines as well. Hello shywalker, You have put up a good question. But let me tell you from my experience no one would be able to answer the question decisively. Because first of all breeding is huge luck. Otherwise all the litters from top kennels and experienced breeders would have had all the above average puppies which is not the case. Many ordinary dogs are produced from all the top kennels which I dont need to prove you can see it for yourself. But from all those numerous breedings they get something extraordinary. For e.g There is only one Ursus Batu or Rikkor Bad-boll in a litter. You asked which lines would produce Bone & size? What do you mean by that? Do you believe larger the bones and size better the dog? That is not the case the dog should be harmonoius with no exaggeration in any case. But yes Ursus Batu line is known to produce dogs with heavy bones and large dogs. But this you can find out bu checking out the progney of the dog available on the database. Question about topline and Structure and type is confusing one. If you see all the top dogs say VA1 to V10 have produced above average dogs. And the progeny of each dog is generally like the father. Afterall that is why Sieger or any top dog is valued so much. Because he produces dogs like him. Generally breeders look at Siegers or VAs because they have proven their producing ability through many many litters with many different bloodline females. That does not mean any combination excluding sieger will not produce good dogs there are many examples supporting this for e.g. Ursus Batu his father Hobby was not a sieger he was not even VA. Then Timo Berrekasten his father Wanko also not VA. Baru Haus Yu who was just V35 produced outstanding females and males. Then there is Yello St.Michelsberg superb producer but not a VA.The list can go on. It is all about choosing correct combination according to one's experience and afterall luck should shine on you. It is all trial and error. I would give you one interesting example Check out this dog Ilay Nordkristall he is from Frei Hirschel bloodline which is not known to produce dog with big head and heavy bones. His mother line is also not known for this. But this dog has such a huge head that even Ursus head appears smaller. So it is all about how bloodlines will click. There is no such thing that male is important or female is more important. It depends on individual animal how it produces. Which you can judge only after getting 2 or 3 litters with different combinations. That how that particular dog is producing. Becasue in case of top producing VA dogs mostly they produce puppies that resemble them with different bloodlines. With females we have a limited choice of progeny to study so it is little difficult. The most influential female bloodline is of none other that Palme Wildsteiger-Land. Mother of 2 main pillars Quando Arminius and Uran Wildsteiger-land. You will find either of this dog in any modern bloodline also. Then there is Dasti Farbenspiel(mother of Hill Farbenspiel and Gonzalez Tronje), Mary tronje, Uganda Agrigento are some who produced well.But it is really difficult to name females. I hope this information will help you in some way.

I agree with you sumo ..... After all i would like to use lines with give be good bone size i prefer larger males i dont mean over sized but likes of natz stegerhof, saber sttefenhaus to name a few ...... so would have to look at lines like baru haus , orbit , ursus, jeck etc what do you say ....
