Do Not buy from these people! I was lucky I actually got my dog, but I live very close by and made several trips to their home! I got my puppy at 6 weeks of age as they were moving in the night or I wouldn't have gotten my puppy at all! I also had to constantly request my AKC papers which I have never received! Multiple attempts to contact them have gone ignored and I tried to be patient when they told me they were homeless. But I would never trust getting a puppy from them ever again!

I am sorry to hear your story but as you have said, you got out lucky with a puppy I hope you love. 6 weeks is a little early to leave its siblings-not too young to be weaned from mom however. Just one week shy of a timely training opportunity if you focus on the love and not their crazy lives. Their story may be true and they maybe facing great financial hardship and homelessness. It is totally horrifying what having no cash and no place to go does to a person. It is the old most difficult story-forgive, forgive, forgive. Holding on only hurts your own heart and soul.
If you were not planning on breeding, the papers do not matter at all. Not at all.
Suggestion...go to Littleton German shepherds website. They are now out of Colorado Springs, I believe. Go to the informational page about puppies developmental stages and be grateful to have gottenyour pup before the breeders negatively affected him.
As for vaccinating, I understand mothers immunity is good up until 12 weeks and that maybe the shots we give at 6 or 8 weeks just get negated by moms. I am told 12 week shots are good and then wait a week for them to kick in. Don't know that this is totally correct but makes sense to me.
Thanks for warning us out there so others will be cautious. The important thing now is to love and enjoy your new baby. Lots of Love to your family.
