I have an 8 month old male GSD, from West German show lines, here is his pedigree

I would like some information on some obedience courses/shows / certifications I can do with him. He is very obedient and has a great temperament and I'm interested in doing more with that. I just don't know what the different certifications are called and how they work. I think it would be great for him to challenge his mind.

Thank you :)

Knowing what area you are located may help in directing you to the right trainers. There are tons of things you can dog with your dog, from obedience and rally to IPO, PSA, Lure coursing, agility, barn hunt, tracking, scent work, search and rescue and so much more.
Do you have a goal in mind?

Dragon is right - try to find a club in your surrounding, they will help. It doesn´t matter WHAT you do, but THAT you do.
Both of you need to like it.
Good luck ( nice looking guy )

Find your nearest schutzhund club and your nearest akc obedience club .....titling in companion events is addictive and rewarding at the same time. Welcome.
