Dogs learn very little from having the crap beat out of them by their handlers and trainers. The dog in the first video ( GSD ) is a mess because his trainers and handlers are idiots!! The second dog ( GSD ) seems to be a good dog in need of better training .. the dog had courage but the trainers and handlers did not develop the dog properly or thoroughly for this type of testing. The third dog ( Mal ) was a bit of a hand grenade dog with a dose of crazy on the side. Personally my opinion is that the 1st and third dog had been ruined by their trainers and handlers. The second dog could be made whole by additional and better training. When people train dogs using excessive force and brutal methods the dogs lack confidence and trust when forced into strange and new situations with their handlers. The second dog ( GSD ) showed more trust, focus, and confidence in his relationship with his handler/trainer which is what is needed. If you put a dog into a new situation against an unknown foe they need to know that it will not end with their trainer or handler beating the crap out of them. The Mal seemed to be willing to bite one and all including the handler based on how the dog was handled.

That demeanor is not always caused by maltreatment or bad training...sometimes its genetics.

this is a competition in honour of a policeman that died, some competitors are policedogs, some are not, fact is that these dogs and competitors have no clue of what they are going to run into that day , more honest than any trained program
