Rainwater

by Rainwater on 19 August 2015 - 15:08

I guess I've been gone for a while, but I never post on these things unless I have a real issue.  So I just got back today to do research on my dog's pedigree as I am planning to breed. To my surprise I immediately saw incorrect info posted about my dog's DNA.  No problem, just change it.  Well, guess what?  It was locked out by the creator.  One of my puppy buyers.  I don't mind she set it up.  But she did put in uncorrect info. I've wanted to keep the peace by not saying anything until now.  I wish they would communicate with me on these issues. What photos or info that only I know about MY DOG should be my decision to post.  I would appreciate any current info I may have missed in this site on the status of this issue.  I'm an outdoors person so I don't spend much time on the computer & depend on all you experts for advice.  This may be a stupid solution (sorry I don't read all the comments)  but why not only let owners enter data or a person with the owners permission.  If I can prove I am the owner of the dog then I should be able to take over as creator.  If there is no such persons available then you can deicide the next best thing.  If anyone complains then that could be dealt with.  I think the admin. should really let the people who use this site decide this issue and then try to make it work.  I like that we can freely submit and change our own info saving everyone time.  I would love if both my puppy buyer and myself or even others could all take care of our pedigrees together. Maybe a password to allow others to access by the creators permission?  The buyer does not know the date MY DOG passed away.  Help.

No your pedigree/s were not locked by anyone as all pedigrees are now locked...by the site owner. Please read this thread http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/community.read?post=832597-pedigrees-locked--how-to-unlock-them
