ZW is directly translated as Breed Value.Actual hip scores of the dog,its siblings, parents and grandparents are mathematically calculated using a proven formula thus generating a Breed Value for the dog. The lower the number the better the Breed Value. This number is adjusted up or down when progeny from the dog are themselves XRayed. When mating 2 dogs, the combined score may not exceed 200. ie 78/93 Total combined score of 171. Higher values increase the risk of bad hips. I hope this helps you.
