my vet in southern Idaho seems fair priced for both hips and elbows he charges 200 and I,ve never got a failing grade from OFA for hips when using him yet, most only offer digital anymore it seems like,it pays to shop around, using the highest priced vets does not always translate to the most skilled in taking the Xrays.

Bundi - I am trying to find a vet that is very experienced in taking quality x-rays for submission to OFA, as there aren't a lot of vets in my area who do that on a regular basis and I don't want to go through the hassle of redoing them. Thanks for the recommend, but southern Idaho is a little too far for me to go if I can find someone in Spokane who is good and not super expensive. Just to give you an idea about costs where I live, I got three quotes from local vets, two of the quotes were around $600 and the third was almost $900. Indiantrail vet in Spokane qouted around $300.

yes my vet is very far from you unless your on vacation or something, some want to charge higher in my area also but i,ve never heard of one close to 600 thats insane cost,Spokane has a much higher population than around here sometimes there are very good vets in small town areas and to me they seem to charge less I guess for those willing to travel a bit out of the way... what about deer park, moses lake or northern idaho ? Sorry I couldn,t be of more help.

I would like to keep it local but if I can get the same service for half the cost then I'm willing to drive the 3 hrs down there.
