Hi,
So Becky is almost at the age of having her hips and elbows check. The vet sais that we most likely don't have anything to worry about but we will do the exams anyway =)
He are already on wait list at our vet, but he only does the standard conformation certificated... It is check by the CPC (Portuguese kennel club) and the APMVEAC (Portuguese Veterinary Association), but is not the SV
To my knowledge, to have the SV certification you must be a member or be a part of a club member, right?
The thing is the club that does the SV in GSD over here is the PACP (German Shepherd club) and just to became a member of then you have to spend 55 euros, plus the 110 euros of the certification plus the x.rays (probably about 100 euros or so)...
And the Kennel club rating is about 90 euros plus 40 euros for the certification...
We don't know if we will want to bred Becky but we definitely want to compete with her....
Does she really need a SV rating? Or those the kennel rating good enough? Tried to call the kennel club the are already close so just know what I've been ready online...
Thanks

I would just do the APMVEC there is no real need for you to do the SV unless you are planning to Show/Compete in Germany
I do like your prices far better than a lot here in the States

It depends on what you want!
If you want to compete under the SV or if you just want regular sows/competitions under the FCI (CPC).

Thanks to you both for the replies.
Snusjunkie but how can I know what is under the SV or not? Flávio is thinking about directing Becky do some IPO/RCI and that is mainly FCI right? nothing forces me to have the SV right?

Hi, so we decided on the APMVEAC testing. Not the SV for now...
But the vet told us that we should wait until she is 2 years old so that we will do =)
Thanks
