The debate over the Confederate flag continues to spread to the entertainment world.

A week after Warner Bros. announced it would no longer sanction the manufacturing of "Dukes of Hazzard" merchandise featuring the flag, TV Land announced it's pulling reruns of the 1980s’ TV series featuring John Schneider and Tom Wopat as Bo and Luke Duke in fictional Hazzard County, Georgia.

Hard to watch :(  Breaks my heart.

This world has gone plum crazy.

I do feel the "political correctness" when it comes to faith and race has gone a tad haywire.  It is not ok to propagate hate no matter who or what.  The 2nd video is disturbing and it does not show all that occurred apparently.  The attacker has been in facilities because of previous violence against white girls according to her grandmother.  They have tried desperately to get her mental health help without any luck.  She has experienced severe abuse and suffers from PTSD per her grandmother.  She had just beaten another girl prior to this video with brass knuckles.  She beat on this girl in the video with brass knuckles, kicked her, stomped her, and then when proceeded to give the victim's 5 year old brother the same treatment.

I do not agree with allowing people to advocate violence against anyone else.  I do not agree with allowing other faiths, in the case I am thinking, Islam, to break laws such as allowing honor killings and fmg to continue in this country.

I do feel this is being allowed to go on so that the people of this country do not pay attention to the really important issues that congress is trying to slide by like the latest bill that allows meat packing plants to no longer have to label where the meat comes from and the bill that banned GMO labeling.

Now that is not to say that us heterosexual whites have not enjoyed our white heterosexual privilege.  We don't have to worry about being seen in public holding hands with our romantic love.  We don't have to worry about our children going out and if they run into trouble, turn to the police who are supposed to help and run into the one bad cop among the many good cops who shoots our child.  We don't have to worry about our families killing us to uphold the family honor or being sent to the OB/GYN for female circumcision all of which still happens in the US. 

I can understand the blacks being angry over the unfair treatment.  There is something wrong with our legal system when 1 white man is incarcerated for every 6 black men.  A white college kid caught with a joint will likely get a slap on the wrist and a black kid will get jail.  I remember the Atlanta Child Murders that occurred in 1979-1981 where 28 young black children and adolescents were killed (these are the only ones found, there is believed to be many more whose bodies are sill missing) and the police finally got involved in November of 1980 after 11 children had been found with the same signature from the serial killer.  Now during that time frame, how long do you think the killings would have gone on before the police got involve if the victims were white?

The only way this will get better is if we all come together in mutual respect and understand, if we are willing to learn from each other and see our similarities as something to hold us together and our differences as something to celebrate.

Haters will hate. No matter if you are black, white, red, green or yellow. There is reverse discrimination, sure, but you try living your whole life and the lifes before you as them. Try it! To be put down, owned, raped and murdered. When this country was discovered at that time there were 2 colors here (for the most part) who put who down? Who killed who? Who owned who? Who raped who?

Whites in my opinion have no bitch when they are all of a sudden being treated as they have treated others over time. You won't get sympathy from natives, blacks, asians, mexicans or for the most part any other races. A new meaning of the word hypocrite has been written.

BTW, I am white with native hertitage. Oh and certain parts of my family immigrated and weren't treated well because they spoke a different language and looked a little different although they were white.

May not be "reverse discrimination",  but there IS racial prejudice ... black on white, Caribean on African,

African on Asian, everybody on Mexican, list is endless.  Does not do anyone any good to not admit that

that exists, even if its only a minority of people in whichever group / community perpetrating it.  Best thing

would be to better educate everybody about the manifestations and causes of being prejudiced about

anyone 'not like you (us)', and the evils that can result from it, than to pretend it doesn't happen.
