Anyone use horse dewormer for dogs?

If so, what formula do you use for dosage?

I do not personally use the horse ones... but some people on PDB have. I use the goat safegard wormer

Same dosage Jyl, just adjust for the dog's weight?

I do not know if the dosage is the same for the horse one as well as the goat Safegard.

I used the liquid Safeguard wormer for goats at 1 cc per 5 pounds of weight.  I usually give a tich extra.  For 5 days consequtively;  I used to use l cc per 10 pounds but was recommnded by others to give per 5 pounds.  So I gave my 92 lb. boy 20 cc's.  Just evened it off at 100 lbs.  I just put it over his food, but did not add any water.  Gobbled it up, but he likes to eat sooooooo, maybe put it in a meatball if you have a poor eater or something stinky.  Most will eat anything stinky.  Nan

Thanks Nans! Looking for something that would cover heartworms as well, if anyone has any suggestions for that.
