Can anyone let me know if there is a time limit in North Carolina to provide a customer with the puppies AKC papers. I have a friend that purchased one in NC and was told the sire has to be DNA'd before she can register the litter. I understand but my friend is concerned because she has not gone the DNA yet. We here in PA have 145 days to provide the papers so just checking if the same there. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Nope
The law doesn't say anything about a time limit.

I too know of no law that gives you a time line of when you have to get AKC Registration/Paper Work...
...but...
I do know about AKC DNA's and it can take awhile...I think they might even tell you 3 to 4 months...but is this a puppy that your friends got that they're trying to get the papers on?
There are ways to get the "litter papers" before you actually get the DNA paperwork back on an Import Dog...If you'd like to know more then PM me and I'll explain...
