We defiinitley have problems, it's called SIN.  Every man has one, therefore every country has one.

Not a big surprise.  We too, were once a Christian nation, and that is quickly changing.  I couldn't be more happier if people would wake up and realize the Bible is not just a book, but the actual word of the one true living God.

Sin? Oh my, you think racism in Canada is new? This sin you speak of has been ongoing for 100's if not 1000's of years. What is actually happening is people are starting to turn away from religion because of religions sins. When countries that are overwhelming Christian have a track record of those Christians turning against people who are different blacks, gays, natives and on and on, people tend to wake up and see it isn't so much about the word of a God as it is about exclusion and intolerance. Christians have no one to blame but themselves, you can't treat all these minorities as second class citizens and expect the rest of us to believe it is about sin. Are you saying it is sin because Christians are in general racist? So, if racism and intolerance is a sin against Gods creations, you might want to check your attitude against gays because unfortunately for the intolerant God also made gay people.

Honestly Red, I think you are talking out both sides of your mouth and not realizing it isn't really about sin but instead it is about intolerance and exclusion?

It's endorsed shunning, is what it is... endorsed, public shunning.  Like I've said before, the Amish and Mennonites understand that their religion is their life, but they trade with "outsiders" and they keep their religious practices within their own homes and communities, separating the two completely.  They are one of the few sects who practices what they preach, for the most part.  They shun their own and they understand the difference.  Do I think it's silly?  Most certainly, but they aren't pushing it on me, they're peaceful and private and unoffensive.  I've not one bit of a problem with them or their lifestyle as long as they're not asking me to live it.  The other asshats want Puritanical punishments for "sin", which shouldn't break the bounds of one's church members or doctrine, not spill over into the public sphere.  Seems it's the Christians who like playing with loaded dice.
