DDR dogs don't even look like DDR dogs??? - Page 1

i have been lied to, where are all the black/dark sable mastiff headed big boned dogs????

hmmmff, breeders and their sales pitches.

Notice the reverse masks??    Where the dogs are walking 4 abreast, I think 3 of the 4 have reverse masks. It's obvious that at least 2 of them do.

Poor buggers...tied out there in the snow...not much of a life for them! 

yeah reverse masks, so why are their descendents ie the current DDR dogs so not taken seriously by most working dog people and are predominately in the pet market being peddled as "rea"l "old school" gsd's.

Czech line GSDs are quite popular for schutzhund and police work right now. The vast majority of them are descended from DDR lines. It's been 30 years since the Wall fell...how are you going to find a pure DDR dog after all this time? I'd be very wary of someone trying to sell me a supposedly pure-blooded East German dog!

Wasn't it DDR-GSDs on this board who was arrested for keeping her dogs (and an elderly female relative) in horrible conditions?  She would collect the semen herself, and try to market it to people interested in these lines. She probably marketed the semen because she didn't want anyone seeing what the dogs looked like, as she couldn't afford to fed them.

My puppy has DDR lines on both sides of her pedigree, as well as many police and military dogs. Nothing wrong with that!

The dark sable coloring was around back then in the DDR dogs, it just didn't happen to make the video.

Each of these dogs has every dog in its pedigree going back to dogs registered with DDR #s.  Each of these dogs are alive today... They are still out there!!!
