That second link helper needs to learn to catch a dog right. He's gonna hurt a dog before himself.

I know we're all expert helpers on this site, but this isn't the first time for this dog and won't be the last. Some dogs are harder than others to catch.

Never claimed to be an expert on helper work. From the way it looked to me, the helper met the dog head on and didn't turn with the dog to absorb the hit whichis why he went down. I have seen some helpers get taken down that were good, it does happen and agree some dogs are harder to catch then others. It still looked like he didn't do a wonderful catch job. Nice dog BTW. :)

looks like he was planning on taking the dog sleeve side, like it seems some people are trying to teach that as the only way to take a dog, but the dog had other plans and went right thru him.

spook101, I'm no helper expert but the sec one is quite obvious and so easy to spot the WRONG thing to do. I'm thankful that the dog wasn't injured by this guys poor helpering skills. I hope the judge screamed and did a lot of criticizing to this helper. does anybody know the helpers name by the way?

before anyone gets too hell bent on crucifying a helper, if you haven't donned the sleeve and worked a few dogs yourself, keep you mouth SHUT. You have no idea what goes on. It was one catch at one moment in time that happend to get caught on tape. There isn't a helper on this planet, even ones with experience that haven't had a not so great catch. Does this helper always catch like this, then I'd like to know who the idiots are that keep bringing him their dogs. Dogs can come at you all sorts of ways, some are incredibly difficult to catch. some look like they're goin one way, as you set up for it, they suddently change directions and go right thru you. If you don't know this in advance or aren't an incredible athlete that has seen this picture before, chances are you'll get stoned the same way this guy did. we don't know the reasons this happened, or how often so please, spare the crucifixtion.
