Anybody heard if the World Peace Pagoda is alright ?  Its not far

from Kathmandu.

Really terrible earthquake, despite not apparently being the highest

on the Richter scale, it has done so much damage, and killed so many

people;  I feel really helpless, I can't even chuck money their way at

present.   Do hope all the aid and services reach everybody there

quickly, and that the people left alive can be assisted in rebuilding their

lives, and their towns.  RIP those who didn't make it.Rose

Jam session During Earthquake - Pokhara, Nepal 25 April 2015

Japan Haiti Nepal... :(

Thanks Lineage.  I'm asking because as you can see in that video,

there's a whole village of people up there by the pagoda,  servicing it

etc.  A Brit. / I believe now naturalised Nepali woman who is a UK dog

press journo is living there, so I am a bit extra-interested as to her welfare;

but sincerely hope the rest of them, and the pagoda itself, have survived

the quake.

Some say dogs can predict a quake... watching the news now and then... this was a devastating quake...

Vk put that video on Main,  there are three GSDs scattering in

the background of that shaking house & garden (hope they found

and caught them ok after the quake !).

OOps, sorry, is that too much of a 'dogs' reference for OT ??

Nepal Earthquake Special Report - April 27 Sky News

Just found out that the people I was concerned about ^^^ are okay;

no body killed, but some damage and it was very frightening.

They have not  heard, so far, of anyone dying in other local villages,

or in Pokhara town.  The Pagoda has a dirty great crack in its wall,

but otherwise stayed up.
