We tested our dog in March 2015 and she came back DM Carrier (A/N). We received a certificate in the mail from OFA stating as such. I have been waiting for 4 weeks for OFA to post it on their database. I finally received word that OFA would not post it without my permission because it was not a "normal" result.  I have to fill out a form giving them permission to put it in the database; on the form it states in bold font "If your animal received an OFA certificate, there is no need to change the status."  I am so confused because I thought that DM Carrier is still a "normal" result, just that she is a carrier of a recessive gene...
Obvviously, I have to fill out the form. Can anyone help me become un-confused? Is this just OFA being "retarded" or did I actually not check something I should have on the original order form?

Thank you!

OFA just replied. According to the the only normal is DM Clear (N/N) and the remainder are all clumped together as abnormal.

By ordering this test, I hereby authorize the OFA to release Normal results. There is no exception to this policy. At-Risk, Affected, or Carrier results will only be released into the open database if the box below is checked.

I authorize:

Thanks for reading.

On the original form you should have checked the box that says that OFA can post your results if they are not normal. ( a normal is N/N)... OFA considers A/N and A/A as not normal.

You just need to type up a letter saying that OFA can post your results for you dog.
