for those following previous thread, a whirlwind of events have happened, in the process i have learned a lot about relavant laws, met a lot of good dog people and made excellent networks.
i logged the job with RSPCA and thought instead of putting the dog thru the trauma i would give it a quick painless end, i could not squeeze down thru the scope. anyhoo in the subsequent days the dog has made it into town and taken residence at the cemetary, it has become a star with the town folk as is getting lots of food and drinking from a fountain in the cemetary. it will eat the food left and sit near people but nobody can ouch it. the dog has taken food from traps and walked out again.
the council can not set a trap on public property so it is still free.
people have offered to give the dog a home when it is caught.
i filled in the mystery of the council when i rang them to see if it had turned up in the pound or they had any reports, this is when i learned of all of the above.
the council now know the dog;s history and owner and are going after the owner for neglect and costs.
the dog has been named bear by the town people.
when it gets caught it will go to a good home and bypass all the pund, rescue and such.
just updating.

So glad to hear this news - but they should try to get "Bear" as soon as possible - I´m afraid sooner or later some jerk might tease him, and an accident may happen...
Good luck!

Has walked in and out of traps.
Vet called in to sedate him with laced meat, dog ate it and walked away, they tried again increasing doses to near lethal, dog eats it and walks away.
Latest plan is unofficially allegedly he will be darted with a tranq.
Owner has stepped up and wants him back, has new sheep on new better property.
Dog has plenty of options when caught.

How incredibly sad for this poor dog; abandoned & starved by the owners and now they may let the dog go back to the owner? Sick bastards... I wouldn't get near people if I was this dog either. I would run, run, run free...
As you can probably tell I AM ALL ABOUT THE DOG; SCREW THE PEOPLE.

Starve the owner (who abandoned dog), feed the dog!

I like this saying that someone email to me....
Grant me the serenity to accept the things i cannot change, the courage to change the things i cannot accept, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people i had to kill today because they pissed me off
Glad that are a town full of people that want to help this dog. The person that dumped this dog to die deserves to be dumped on a island somewhere with no food or water and also should be NEUTERED... People can be so cruel sometimes!
Thanks for the video on Bear... such a majestic dog..He will make someone a loving devoted companion. He deserves someone that truely loves him. He has such a "lost" look on his face.
Keep the updates coming... and thanks for caring and stepping up to help this dog when his owners didnt have a use for him anymore.
