So, we recently acquired a Belgian Malinois. Wanted to give a shout out. He's a cool little guy. My other dog, a female GS/shar pei mix, is an excellent companion. My my only question - my Malinois is a pretty chill guy, kind of was not expecting that or is it that my other dog was so insane (she's 18m now) that he pales in comparison? I mean Shar Peis are not excatly the...nicest dogs,
Anyway, hi and I'm glad we chose a Mal over a GS.
fyi - he has papers and all that, but honestly we don't care, we are not convinced breeding is in our best interest

Different dogs have different resting character. I have a Dutch that is a couch potato when inside, and another that is like a jack a$$ in a tent stable when inside.
There is more to being a good breeder than a dog having papers, it is good to hear someone acknowledge that they may not be the best for it!
I'm glad that you seem to enjoy him, have fun!
