I HAVE A GERMAN FRIEND WHO REALLY LIKES MARK HAUS BECK AND TOLD ME TO BREED MY BITCH, LINEBREED ON HIM IF I CAN. MY BITCH IS AN IMPORT, V RATED, SCH 1 AND OUT OF VA NEPTUN VON BAD-BOLL. SHE IS BRED NOW TO MY STUD. HES A VA JECK NORICUM GRANDSON AND DUE TO WHELP ON 4 1-07 SHE HAS GREAT LINES AND SO DOES HE.

Hi LTS, Thank you. I actually have Juno more as a family member than for breeding purposes. However; he is showing great potential in his temperament, work ethic, and looks. I have finally managed to get him to do the "aus" consistently as he is very driven and gets too focused during bite work. It took me a while and a lot of guidance and patience with my trainer to get some consistency. His bark & hold is great and he just turned 20 months today. If his hips and elbows are good I may breed him as I have a lot of people making inquiries about him. I am located in Miami, Fl and you may contact me at my email elizabethdas@aol.com (it is under my wife's name) if you want additional info about him. Juno

I would be VERY careful before letting someone, such as Donna (Dach Haus) use my male.

Juno, Are you a member of South Florida schutzhund club by any chance? who's doing the bitework on your dog? Do you have any videos by any chance?

by Juno on 23 March 2007 - 19:03

Hi Brittany, Sorry for not gettin back earlier, was travelling. No, I am not a member of South Florida schutzhund club, although Juno was evaluated by Phil Hoelscher (I hope I spelled it right) in both obedience and bite work. On a strange field, with a strange helper (Phil himself) he bit hard and well. Phil's comment was that Juno was showing good potential and he was willing to train him in schutzhund. I personally have not followed up with Phil as I have a very hectic schedule where I travel a lot and just could not make the commitment. However; I enjoy working with him and go to a personal trainer who I have been going for years with my first GSD. We do it more for fun and throw in elements of KNPV, schutzhund, PP in the bite work. The main thing we do is to make sure we are all doing it properly and the dog shows a lot of control. Juno absolutely enjoys doing it and right now we are progressing to the off-leash control on bite work, calling off after we have sent him on a bite, bark and hold, aus. Later we will get into some gun work. I am not in the dog business, nor do I have any plans to be. However; a lot of people have inquired about using Juno as a stud so I have given it some thought. My breeder Beth from Grum Majestat has been on my case to title him so she could breed him if his hips and elbows are good. You can view his pedigree under his registered name of Neptun vom Grum Majestat. I only have a video of Juno from last year September when we were firming up his bite and he was tied to a bungy. He was about 15 months at that time. Here is a link to it. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=898305504908380297&hl=en Regards, Juno

Please note if you having this on the line... If bred heavily on Mark Haus Beck, being medium sized, very good Black pigmentation, balanced individual (noticeable in CANTO lines) very good EAR SET ,, any curly tails in the line ???

by Juno on 26 March 2007 - 11:03

Marci, you are correct about size, ears, and temperament. Juno meets the breed standard in size and has very good dark pigmentation. He even has a dark spot on his tongue which I noticed one day after a very strenous workout. No curly tail.

The Black dot on the TONGUE..That I sure know... all of the pups I had with the first breeding had the same black spots and guess what??? That indicates very good pigmentation. I had to linebreed more for good conformation, I choose Uran but I lack uniformity... Any more ideas on lines where I could get better toplines??? My foundation bitch has very straight back but lack staunchness and fight drive (wrong upbringing...my fault...i'm currently correcting the problem)What can you do.. my dogs love people and will only show drive when you play ball with them or challenge them with a tug toy or kick them...They grip your arm... but its only play...they only get serious if the puppy sleeve is WITHeld from them... The temperament I got from getting Mark Haus Beck lines... But I still cant correct the REAR problems.. NO MORE CURLY TAILS in the 2nd litter (but I HAD ONE DOCKED TAIL...imagine that?) The long CROUP and good tailset seems to be recessive... Plus I had to look for a good male producing good heads...my bitch's line noted for small heads (close linebred with Fanto-Halla Hirschel) I researched the Ursus Batu line through Jeck Noricum IMPROVES MASCULINITY... any other line known to IMPROVE HEADs???

by Juno on 26 March 2007 - 19:03

I did see some other posts last week where they were talking of some lines that improve heads. Juno himself is very masculine looking and has a great head. If you want you can e-mail me privately to my home email listed in my initial response and I can email you a close up of his head. Juno is by nature very friendly but bold and when he does bite work has a lot of fight drive. Last saturday when we did a courage test with him and the decoy charged him, Juno just slammed into him with tremendous force and almost knocked him down. Wish somebody had filmed it as it was really something to watch! He is great with kids but sometimes gets rough when he starts palying with them. Good luck in your search.
