Does anyone on here know of a reputable quality of raw food  that give you the option to add your own meat? Thank you guys for all the knowledge that you share everyday.

The Honest Kitchen offers a dehydrated raw base to which you can add your own meat.

If you're going to add your own meat to the raw food, why not just make your own recipe from scratch?    It can't be that much harder to add some veggies, kefir/yogurt, fish oil, etc. into the bowl at the same time as you're adding the meat, I figure.

I recently switched my dog to a raw diet, but a "complete meal", as that was the only way that I could convince my husband to adopt raw feeding.     I buy the ground-up raw food in 5 lb. sausages, ready to cut up into portions and empty into the storage container then the bowl.     I occasionally supplement with some sardines, chicken back, liver, apples, etc., but that's just added once or twice a week.     I feed the chicken full meat, here's the product:

My dog was on Acanca Grasslands or Ranchlands, but he was still a little on the skinny side and was crapping out much more than I thought he should on a premium food.     The cost of the raw complete meal is almost the same as the Acana for the month.      The benefits of the raw were apparent by the second day, at least in the "output", lol.     This to me indicates how much more absorbable the nutrients are in the raw.    Thor still has lots of energy, seems to be doing well on the product,  he's not losing weight, and he loves it.     After a couple months on the raw I will assess how he's doing, but so far so good and I like how the product is cost comaprative to a premium food.

That sounds like another good option, Koots. I like The Honest Kitchen because we travel a lot during the summer and the dog goes too, so it's very easy to take along a box of dehydrated food and just add bottled water. I just bought the first box of Honest Kitchen Force with human grade free range chicken,  potatoes. apples, green beans, celery, sweet potatoes, honey, pumpkin, etc, etc, etc, but will switch between that and the meatless base diet adding my own meat when we're at home.

Blitzen - I didn't think of the travel logistics, in which case the dehydrated seems like a good option.
