I have read that that Mark haus Beck is impt. in " bringing glamour " and to increase also the working attitude of lines bred too much on Quando Arminius to Odin Tannenmeise to Ursus upto Zamp... What was in the breeding of Mark H Beck that can increase the working dog attitude of the Line that zwinger vom hausbeck developed? Is it true that linebreeding on this dog will normalize the otherwise LARGE and BIG progeny and will result in uniform size? Will too much linebreeding on him make that the litter large (in numbers) and sized not more than medium sized dogs? Anyone who has critiques when his son Kimon Dan Alhedy's Hoove from the Netherlands ...went sieger. Thanks in advance // Chao...

Marci, I cannot answer your question; the only thing I can offer is an observation. I have a 20 month old male line bred on Mark v. Haus Beck (5,5 -,5) and he is of correct size and has wonderful temperament and working ability. The picture was taken when he was about 9 months old. Since then he has filled out and turned darker. However; his best attribute is his temperamant, clear-headedness (loves kis), and his working ability. He is has a lot of drive and can go for hours which makes it a little bit of a handful to keep him entertained or he will figure out on his own. His breeder said that she was trying to achieve that and she certainly did with Neptun. However; because of his drive I would not recommend him for people who are not used to it or not willing to spend the time and effort to exercise and work with him. Hope this gives some insight. http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/pedigree/442207.html
