Thoughts? From a 1 yr old dog. Positionin is really poor I know I don't know vet who shot these ..

IMO unilateral moderate to severe HD. A better xray could make that hip look a bit tighter, but I think there is already some remodeling going on. I don't think this dog would pass OFA or the SV evaluation. I'd probably wait another 6 months for another xray and make sure the dog was sedated.

I would not use this x-ray to send in to OFA. And it looks like although very hard to determine by this x-ray; our right side of the screen has very little coverage as far as depth of socket. You MIGHT just maybe be able to improve this a bit by swimming this dog everyday, and walks in the sand if you can, however as it looks by this x-ray these hips will not pass OFA and I am not familiar with the SV grading scales to comment on SV clearances, however the left hips is pretty severe HD. Right hip socket looks deeper I really cannot tell by this x-ray anything or even want to guess. Good luck though Nan
