What do you guys use on your yard that is pet safe and kills insects?

Cedar Chips,
for chemical treatments it depends if you have plants, lawn, gravel or concrete, and the type of insect matters as well. :)
If you elaborate, others might be able to offer suggestions.

For soft bodied insects (fleas in larval stage and so on) use diatomaceous earth. Works best when you are having a dry spell. Once it gets rained on you should reapply.
