If anyone has contact info on Carmen Byrd aka von der Vogel Haus to share with me, I would aprreciate it.

Karmen, not Carmen. That would help :)

This is Karmen and that is my kennel name. Is therea question?

Karmen, I would like to speak to you about Emma. I think I have info that could be helpful to you.
Jenni78, I think the use of C and K in names is so common that most people wouldn't give it a second thought as to the first letter of the name. But thanks anyway.

I've been in contact with the rescue group and how she is doing. She has had a variety of issues she needs to overcome before she leaves the rescue. She seems to be recovering well from her spay. I'm glad the shelter pulled her from the kill shelter and decided to foster her and treat her. She'll more than likely come back to me.

Tammy/Krystal, (aka Hutchins, et al.)
Just a word of caution to you. Karmen's reputation in Schutzhund/IPO stands for itself, and her excellent breeding record for the few litters that she produced years ago is exceptional. I happen to know she is extremely upset about the whole business with how you handled Emma. Believe me, she knows pretty much every detail of the story, and she is doing all she can to make sure Emma is cared for properly for the rest of her life. Karmen knows all about you (Tammy/Krystal), and if you were smart you would not say another word to her unless to accept responsibility.
There's just no excuse for blaming others and refusing to rescue Emma when her life was on the line, or even for failing to attempt to contact Karmen when Emma's life was on the line. (We know the excuse...the shelter wouldn't release her intact, which you wanted). How you could do this to a dog you said you loved is beyond me. Like I said, Karmen knows every detail that matters in this story, and the fact that she hasn't ripped you apart here shows her class and experience. If you want to accept responsibility for this sordid affair, great. But if you want to try to make yourself look good and noble and all, believe me you don't want to do that. In my book, you're an unethical breeder with a shallow "love" for dogs and no commitment or true understanding of IPO and the German Shepherd Dog. Sure, you can talk the talk, ridiculously wave a rag around and get a dog to bite it, and even post photos of that on your website, complete with a face shot of a GSD baring teeth and drooling. Sure, you can breed dogs that have never been X-rayed, have HW, mange, or in general just shouldn't be bred. But, that just shows you don't know what you're doing. And other people like Karmen and the good people at the rescue have to step in and clean up the mess.
That is all.
-Daniel

C and K make all the difference when using the internet to find someone.
Daniel, I have no idea who you are or what this is all about, but your words about Karmen certainly ring true with what I remember about her, though I have not talked to her in probably close to 10 years.

Daniel what a fool you are to judge people you REALLY know nothing about. You and I have never done business, you never bought a dog or puppy from us so what are you basing your comments on, Hearsay??? Do you have proof??? PLEASE POST THAT PROOF of what you are accusing!!!! Unless you are the breeder of the dog I am trying to reach Karmen about, I am not sure what it is any of your business. Oddly you joined this forum 4 yrs ago and this your 1st post does it really involve you directly? I think your intent is obvious. Oh BTW, its no secret who we are and have not tried to hide it as each picture I post our kennel name is on them. However, thanks for the attention. Its greatly appreciated.
Trust me, there are many people that dont fall for troll's attempts at creating drama. Those are the ones that will visit our website and see for themselves what you are attempting to do and by your false accusations! Once again Thanks!!
Karmen, I will send you an PM.

Tammy/Krystal,
Yes, it directly involves me, unfortunately. I was contacted about Emma, and I am the one who told Karmen where Emma was and how she got there. Yes, unfortunately I know too much about you. Yes, Krystal did attempt to buy a puppy from me, ironically because you wanted a puppy to replace Emma. I told you, no, I would not sell you a puppy, and am I ever so glad that I didn't.
The proof? This story about Emma is proof. Your own website is proof.
As for not posting here in 4 years, I think that actually is honorable. Some people don't need to talk. I don't plan on posting again for another 4 years at the earliest.
Regards,
Daniel

Daniel is only stating what he knows of my dogs as he knows many of them (well all of them). I do believe you inquired about a Capone puppy from him. As far as Emma is concerned I see she was never OFA'ed or at least I couldn't find her in the database? Was she A stamped? My concern is this dog was bred by several people who didn't take the time to properly go through the right channels to do so. I read your posts regarding how she got to the kill shelter and I have to say no dog would leave to go to retirement home UNTIL I personally spayed the animal and no papers would be given. I understand there are two sides of every story so feel free to give me any information you know of Emma aka Keeleigh who was named after some guys granddaughter. As you can imagine as a breeder I am devastated that one of my puppies ended up in such a place ready to be euthanzied. No one bothered to find me and ask me about the dog. So feel free to tell me what you know about the dog from your side. It would probably be a good thing to take down the "personal protection dog" title under her name and put hips and elbows unknown. As you can imagine this has upset me greatly and a big reason I do not breed anymore. I just don't know where they will end up. If you want to PM me that is fine but also feel free to share her story here as well if you wish your side be heard. I do know the dog has HW, Hook Worm, mammary tumors (sent to pathology for cancer) if the tumors are cancer she will need a radical masectomy to remove her cancer, and she has some spine issues causing her some pain. I have no idea how long the last owner had her and why he turned her into the kill shelter so feel free to clear up any mis-information you think was passed on to me.
Thanks
Karmen
