what and whom are the best ways to ship. ive hear delta dash gratlyn for domestic i always use luftahnsa for international

I've personally have had good luck with North West.

Continental Airlines

United Airline is good to. Lufthansa is expensive and not always ready to take.

American Airlines

I usually ship with Delta or NW. Receive most of dogs from Germany via Lufthansa, which is very good. US Air was very good too, but doesn't take dogs anymore since bought out by America West. I hear they may reconsider, probably still stinging from the lost revenue. I have flown with dogs overseas on Continental too, with no complaints. The only bad experience I had was on Air France. When flying to Frankfurt with a layover in Paris (DeGaul) I had to watch my dogs sit in the very hot (95+) sun on the tarmac, not even in the shade, during the layover. I ran off the plane to the terminal and screamed my head off at anyone with an Air France uniform on, but it still took them over 45 min. to do anything about it. They finally squirted a hose into the crates and loaded them back in the hold just before take-off. You can bet AF got another dose of my full fury when we landed in Frankfurt, too. Never again! SS

LUFTHANSA

Shelly, CDG makes you take the dog off the plane and re-check both ways. That is why we try to avoid CDG.

Just got 2 pups (a different breed for a friend) into Dulles from Franfort via Lufthansa and Pet Air. Lufthansa people were friendly and helpful with filling out customs forms.Dogs were immediately taken from plane and brought to new owners. Thanks Lufthansa Dulles cargo crew, you are the best!
