Gettin' ready for the storm... - Page 1

Well it is just about HERE....I live in Northern California.... we are suppose to get 4-8 inches of rain by tomorrow evening... we are already on flood warning for tomorrow afternoon/evening. We are also in store for some heavy wind too... with up to 50 MPH gusts..

We desperately need to rain, but NOT all at one time. It is going to be a WET weekend here.. Hope we do not have to much flooding or downed trees..

Geeeez, you could send some to So. CA.  we also need it badly but I agree, not all at once.  I had heard you guys were going to get hammered for the next 4 days, please stay safe.  Water can be like fire, VERY destructive at times, hate that part of it.  Good luck  Nan

It hasn't rained as much in Florida like it usually does, I wish it would because we had a new tree that is dying already (Palm Tree). Its been too cold here for it to survive like it should, it was just planted two weeks ago too.

Its raining pretty good here now.  So far has not rained as hard as predicted... but it is a slow moving storm. I think it just hasnt got all the way here yet. The rain drop are big too... If it hits as hard as it is suppose to we will be HAMMERED.

Luckily my house does not flood, but we flood in. We will basically be on an island.

I'm in Tampa Bay where we've had a very mild winter so far. No frost yet and about the aveage amount of rain for this time of year.

Jyl, the Vancouver area is on the north end of that storm system and they are getting rained out.     I'm inland but we're getting lots of rain as well, making the snow pack really mushy, sloppy and hard to walk in off the beaten path.      Batten down the hatches, man the lifeboats!

I have the hatches buttoned down and the boat is ready just in case...lol.  It is REALLY raining here now and WINDY too.

Yes, we are still afloat... there is a little break in the storm right now and we have some blue sky... But it is not going to last for very long..
