PLEASE define for us the difference between a member's violating the TOS's by being rude to other members and their being thought provoking. Thank you.
- You may not carry out personal attacks, be rude, disrespectful, insulting, threatening or abusive publicly to any member of PDB.

Let me ask you this - do you really want the TOS enforced 100% literally? Because we can but I am not thinking most members here would like that. The TOS is a guideline and a set of examples how we expect members to behave. What you see as rude, may not be seen by others as rude. One person feelings may be hurt by words and anothers by actions. Some people want us to actually allow more drama and back and forths. We try to find a middle ground between the two. We aren't going to please all members all the time nor should we strive to please all because we are all different and what may please you may not please another.
And no I am not going to define the difference between the two. I am not getting button holed into a strict definition.
By defintion this thread is against the rules because you are asking us why we make certain decisions, just in a round about way. This is also part of the rules - The moderators have sole discretion in making decisions to edit or delete posts. So, what I am saying is should I ban you for posting this, I think not, it is our discretion and not an automatic
My best advice to you (and I know this is hard) is to just ignore the things you don't like. I have tried to get Oli to add an ignore feature but he has reasons that have to do with search placement. Google don't like hidden text and it might appear to their crawlers as hidden text to pump up keywords.

How to find owner of some dog?

by Sunsilver on 18 January 2015 - 13:01
Milenko, post the dog's full registered name, and the country it lives in. Someone on the board may know the owner.
There is no search feature that allows you to search for this information in the pedigrees. Most pedigrees don't even give the owner's name.
When I moderated on a nursing website, the criteria we used for deciding if something needed to be censored (and MOST boards work this way) was 'is there an 'ad hominem' (personal) attack in this post?'
It was okay to tell someone their ideas sucked, but not okay to say 'YOU suck'.
